Council and Mayor invite residents to sign condolence book for Marion Barry
The Council of the District of Columbia and Mayor Vincent C. Gray are making available a condolence book to provide District residents with an opportunity to express their sympathy and appreciation for the life and legacy of our beloved four-term Mayor and three-term Councilmember, Marion S. Barry, Jr. To many, Mr. Barry represented hope and justice. He championed policies to help “the last, the lost and the least” – as he would often say. Mr. Barry loved the District of Columbia and so many residents loved him more.
The condolence book will be available in the first floor foyer of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, from 9AM to 5:30PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of this week (November 25th, 26th, and 28th).
