On Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., the D.C. Early Childhood Educator Equitable Compensation Task Force will hold a meeting via Zoom video. The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the Task Force, review procedures and protocols for future Task Force meetings, and develop an understanding of the current state of DC schools and the community school landscape across the
District.

The public may watch the meeting via Zoom here or at www.chairmanmendelson.com/live. Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation, or require sign language interpretation, are requested to inform the Committee office of the need as soon as possible but no later than five business days before the proceeding by emailing cow@dccouncil.gov. We will make every effort to fulfill timely requests, although alternatives may be offered. Requests received in less than five business days may not be fulfilled.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
1. Welcome/Goals/Expectations
2. Taking stock of the current state of DC’s schools
3. Getting to know existing DC community school frameworks
4. A national perspective: National frameworks and community school trends
5. Looking forward: Building our shared agenda
