Business & Economic Development Public Hearing

The Committee on Business & Economic Development will hold a Public Hearing on the following Legislation:

• Bill 25-0619, the “Clean Hands Certification Economic Expansion and Revitalization Amendment Act of 2023”
• Bill 25-0658, the “Housing in Downtown Tax Abatement Technical Amendment Act of 2024”
• Proposed Resolution 25-0804, the “American Association of Colleges and Universities, Revenue Bonds Project Approval Resolution of 2024”
• Proposed Resolution 25-0805, the “Jubilee Housing, Inc. – The Maycroft, Revenue Bonds Project Approval Resolution of 2024”
• Bill 25-0488, the “Mount Vernon/Eastern Market/Barracks Row Great Streets Neighborhood Retail Priority Amendment Act of 2023”

The Committee invites the public to testify, in-person or virtually, and to submit written testimony. Those who wish to testify must register using the Council’s Hearing Management System at https://lims.dccouncil.gov/hearings by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024. All public witnesses will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to testify. At the discretion of the Chair, the length of time provided for oral testimony may be reduced or extended.
