The Committee on Public Works & Operations will hold a Public Hearing on the following Legislation:

  • PR25-0235, the “Commission on Human Rights Teri Janine Quinn Confirmation Resolution of 2023″
  • PR25-0236, the “Commission on Human Rights Motoko Aizawa Confirmation Resolution of 2023”
  • PR25-0237, the “Commission on Human Rights Karen Mulhauser Confirmation Resolution of 2023”
  • PR25-0238, the “Commission on Human Rights Henry Floyd, Jr. Confirmation Resolution of 2023”
  • PR25-0239, the “Commission on Human Rights Antonesia Wiley Confirmation
  • PR25-0240, the “Commission on Human Rights Colin Rettammel Confirmation Resolution of 2023″
  • B25-0298, the “Black Queer History Commission Establishment Act of 2023″

Those who wish to testify must register using the Council’s Hearing Management System at https://lims.dccouncil.gov/hearings by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Representatives of organizations will be allowed a maximum of five minutes for oral testimony, and individuals (and any subsequent representatives of the same organizations) will be allowed a maximum of three minutes. Witnesses who anticipate needing spoken language interpretation, or require sign language interpretation, are requested to inform the Committee office of the need as soon as possible but no later than five business days before the proceeding by emailing publicworks@dccouncil.gov. We will make every effort to fulfill timely requests. Witnesses will receive instructions on how to participate by Zoom prior to the hearing.
